Iowa To Review Drug Testing Policies
University of Iowa says it is reviewing its policy on drug testing for student-athletes in the wake of the arrest of star wide receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos last week.
Iowa athletic director Gary Barta said a few “errors and inconsistencies” were found in the policies and some athletes have probably had time to test drugs in the past.
Johnson-Koulianos has been suspended for Insight Bowl on Dec. 28 after he and a roommate were arrested for drug trafficking.
Running back Adam Robinson was suspended for the game for failing to comply with team policy, and often injured running back Jewel Hampton transfer plans.
Cam Newton Says He’s Not Disappointed in Cecil
Cam Newton and the other finalists for the Heisman Trophy entered the room together, posed for some pictures with the large bronze statue, then spread to different tables to talk to reporters.

Stanford Hopeful Harbaugh Will Stay
Stanford athletic director Bob Bowlsby said he had made an offer to sweeten the contract of coach Jim Harbaugh and expected to accept it.
Bowlsby spoke Sunday after the fifth Cardinal (11-1) has accepted an offer to play in the Orange Bowl against Virginia Tech. Harbaugh says he gave a contract proposal and accept Harbaugh said.
Harbaugh has four years remaining on his current contract. Harbaugh name has been mentioned as a possible coach of the NFL or job profile of the university higher education, including his alma mater, Michigan Wolverines decide if the fire Rico Rodriguez.
