NFL Monday Night Football concludes Week 12 of the regular season with an AFC North rivalry between the host Cleveland Browns and the visiting Baltimore Ravens.
Josh McCown has been named to start at quarterback for Cleveland after coaches demoted Johnny Manziel from first string to third string, which could be the beginning of the end of his time with the team. The winner of this game will remain out of last place in the AFC North.
Baltimore will also have a different quarterback under center for this game. The Ravens lost starting quarterback Joe Flacco for the season to a knee injury in their win last week over the St. Louis Rams. Flacco was the starter in every game since his 2008 rookie debut, but Matt Schaub will start in his place on Monday.
Another key player was injured last week for Baltimore when Justin Forsett the starting running back fractured a forearm. Every one of Baltimore’s game have been close, with all of them decided by 8 or fewer points.
Cleveland if 0-5 since its overtime victory of 33-30 against Baltimore earlier this season. In that game, McCown had 457 yards passing to set a Brown’s franchise record.
McCown’s favorite targets will be wide out Travis Benjamin and Gary Barnidge a tight end. The rushing attack for Cleveland is No. 30 in the league.
The win last month by the Browns over the Ravens was just its second in the past 15 games head to head with Baltimore.
Barnidge has caught seven touchdown passes in his past eight games for Cleveland.
