Report: Mark Richt Reaches Agreement with Miami Hurricanes

mark richtThe University of Miami is expected to name Mark Richt as their next head football coach. Richt would return to his alma mater, where he played quarterback from 1978-82. It has been reported that Richt was on the list of at least five schools in need of a head coach

Richt was received of his duties just three days ago at the University of Georgia. Richt went 145-51 in 15 seasons as head coach at Georgia, winning two SEC championships.

Richt is a South Florida native and played for Howard Schnellenberger at Miami, when the Hurricanes were just becoming the program that would win five national championships in 19 seasons

Miami fired Al Golden in late October after more than four seasons coaching the Hurricanes.
