Ohio State visits Michigan – Line, Spread, Preview, Pick

michiganOn Saturday afternoon, all in eyes in the Big Ten and many in college football will be focused on Ann Arbor when the No. 8 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes visit the No. 12 ranked Michigan Wolverines.

Ohio State has dominated this head to head series of late winning 10 of the past 11 meetings overall, but are coming off a shocking loss of 17-14 to Michigan State. The loss snapped the 23-game winning streak for Ohio State and likely put an end to hopes of returning to the College Football Playoff.

Ezekiel Elliott the team’s star rusher criticized the team’s playing calling following the loss and declared immediately for the NFL draft. He apologized later for the comments, but the damage was already done.

Michigan continued its resurgence under Jim Harbaugh the new head coach with a 28-16 win against Penn State. The Wolverines are 9-1 over their past 10 games including four straight.

Even though Elliott apologized for his comments following the Ohio State loss last week, the bitter taste of defeat is still present and the Buckeyes could find themselves thinking about what could have been instead of the task at hand.

A win by Michigan on Saturday and a loss by Michigan State to Penn State would give the East division title of the Big Ten to Michigan.

Jake Rudock at quarterback has been the backbone of the Michigan offensive attack. He has 250 or more yards passing in his past three games.

Ohio State’s offense was stymied by the Spartans last weekend. Elliott was held to just 33 yards snapping his 15-game streak of 100 yards games on the ground.

The Buckeyes have scored 34 points or more in four of the past five games against the Wolverines.

Elliott is leading the conference in rushing yards a game averaging 143.2.
