How to watch TG4 live stream online with or without Cable

TG4 is a very interesting television station that is located in Ireland. The channel is broadcasted completely in Gaelic, which is an Irish language that is generally only spoken in Ireland. There are just over 70,000 daily speakers in Ireland that use Gaelic as a first language and speak it daily. It is safe to say that TG4 is focused on a very small but interesting group of people that are keeping an old Irish tradition alive.

TG4 has incredibly interesting programming that anyone is interested in should check out. Some of their sports that they broadcast are secondary Gaelic football and hurling competitions. TG4 also spends a bit of money creating original shows for their Gaelic customers and audience that are low budget but they showcase an interesting culture that many people are unaware of. If you are interested in Gaelic at all you should definitely check out TG4 and we are going to show you just how you can do that anywhere from New Zealand to South Africa.

Free to Watch Anywhere

TG4 has decided to go against most network channels and they let anyone anywhere watch a large portion of their content as long as it does not infringe on any of the content rights. There are two options that TG4 currently offers to anyone all over the globe. TG4 has an app on the App Store and the Play Store that you can simply download and start streaming their live channel and a lot of their old content. The app is great and you do not have to sign up for an account. All you have to do is download the

The other way to watch TG4 anywhere in the world online is to simply go right to TG4’s website. The website offers two different ways that you can watch their content. The first is through their Player where you can watch some of their old content that has already aired. The other way is they have a live option right on their website as well where you can watch what is happening live on the channel. When I tuned in there was some inspiring Irish music being played in Gaelic, it sounded great but I had no clue what they were saying.

If you want to watch all of TG4’s content there is a simple workaround which won’t cost you more than $12 a month. There are services called VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) which work by spoofing your device’s location and making it appear as it is somewhere else. In this case we can make your device appear that it is in Ireland. Let’s go through the steps now:

  1. Purchase a subscription to a VPN service such as ExpressVPN. There are free options available but many of them contain malware so you are better off protecting yourself by using a paid service. Most VPNs only cost $10 a month anyways so it is not a huge investment
  2. Install the VPN software on the device that you are going to stream TG4 on from the VPN’s website
  3. Log into the software and choose an Irish IP address to make your device appear that it is located in Ireland
  4. Now you can download the TG4 app from the App Store or Play Store to stream TG4. You can also go to right to TG4’s website to live stream what the channel is currently airing. TG4’s website also has a slew of great content that you are free to watch at anytime from documentaries, sports, music, drama, and entertainment.
